For lighter areas I used regular strong coffee and for darker areas i used instant coffee!
For the painting i used an airbrush but this can be done with regular artist brushes!
Painting with coffee is much like painting with water colors, you can paint on watercolor paper, canvas or even wood!

I used a frisket as i use an airbrush! |
| First i cut away the background from the frisket and sprayed on some light coffee with my airbrush! |

Coffee is pretty transparent so if you want darker areas just let the coffee dry for a while and spray on more layers!
To speed up the drying you can use a hair dryer!
|
| I added some darker shades, for this i used 50/50 instant coffee |

At this stage i removed the frisket and freehanded the hand, coffee cup and paint brush!
Coffee paint is not wary durable so you should add a protective layer of plastic floor wax or clearcoat!
Conclusion of the experiment - coffee art works rather well and you can drink the leftover paint!
